Below are descriptions of gardening classes and presentations I offer.  Please contact me for prices and availability. 

A Year in My Garden

Organic gardener Linda Larson takes the listeners on a colorful photographic tour of her garden throughout the year, showcasing her successes and explaining how she dealt with her problems.  She explains organic techniques that really work and whets the appetite with recipes (made from garden produce, of course). Linda Larson is the author of A Year in My Garden (Three Blankets Press 2013) and Grow It. Eat It. (Nodin Press 2005), which won the Benjamin Franklin Award for best gardening book.

For planners:  This is a 40-45 minute presentation for any time of the year.  The author will stay to answer questions as needed.  A screen, laptop, and projector are needed for a power point presentation of photos. Microphone needed for large venues.

The Kitchen Garden

Cut the grocery bill and eat healthy by growing your own fruits, veggies, and herbs!  Linda will describe a kitchen garden, explain why it should be organic, explain how to grow organically, and suggest the best varieties of fruits and veggies for our climate.   Also, she’ll talk about composting and homemade remedies for garden pests.  Linda Larson is the author of Grow It. Eat It., which won the Benjamin Franklin Award for best gardening book in 2005.

For planners:  The best time of year for this presentation is late winter and spring.  The talk lasts about 40-45 minutes, and the author stays for an additional 30-45 minutes for questions. No equipment needed for small venues.

Troubleshooting in the Garden
